Fit Tip: Craving Something Sweet?? Snack on Blackberries

Hello everyone,

I know this is not a normal post for this blog, but I wanted to share a few tips with you as I am trying to get fit!

Today I found myself in the gym doing a lengthy amount of cardio, and a little bit of strength training. Naturally when I was finished I was starving. If I was the old Kimi I would just reach for whatever we had on hand in the fridge (which most of the time is cheese or anything with chocolate ;) )  But as I am trying to eat better and trim down, I am also monitoring what I am eating. Now this is not to say I don't enjoy a good greasy spoon every now and again, in fact I had one for breakfast with my flat-mates this morning, which motivated me to go the the gym in the first place. After all that hard work I felt like I shouldn't be shoveling anymore garbage in my mouth for the rest of the week ;)

So when I want to snack on something sweet like candy, chocolate, or even soda, I will now turn to fruit  for an alternative sugar fix. My fruit of choice is berries, particularly Blackberries.

Blackberries, like most berries are low in calories and high in nutrition.  They are rich in antioxidants and vitamins A & C. Vitamin A helps to maintain healthy eyes, while Vitamin C is good for the immune system. To find out more on the nutrients of Blackberries Click Here.

So I challenge you to look for a healthier alternative for your sweet tooth!! Trust me you will feel so much better by not giving in to those Peanut M&M's :)

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!!

And if you have any Fit Tips you would like to share please do!! I would love to hear them and even try them out!!

xoxo
